Shanghai.monks, the Shanghai office of global creative digital company media.monks, is looking for a Tech Project Manager to to handle a host of award-winning projects at the intersection of creativity and technology. As a Tech Project Manager you will sit with both the technical team as well as the producer team to realize the common goal of delivering high quality projects.
Responsibilities
Working with one of our largest technology clients, you’ll produce all kinds of awesome, spanning apps and micro-sites to digital platforms and tons of interactive experiences. You will specialize in setting up, stewarding, and sustaining brand apps, dot-com websites, and e-commerce platforms.
- You’ll be joining us as a pioneer Monk to join our fast-growing Shanghai operation.
- You'll shape and drive cross-functional projects by leading internal teams and client conversations; you’re the pace- and peacemaker, principally responsible for well-managed expectations and timely delivery.
- You’ll be responsible for scoping and quoting projects as well as timing and planning production work — establishing what gets done and when to make sure projects are profitable and doable, with realistic targets and deadlines.

- For this Project Manager role, we’re looking for a proficient digital program lead with experience in running both Agile and Waterfall projects in creative production, digital agency or consulting experience preferred.
- You don’t think in projects but rather in partnerships at scale, developing client relationships and work-streams miles(tones) ahead.
- Handling the production of multiple projects across clients and teams is no easy task and requires solid planning and communication skills.
- Make timelines work amidst clients and vendors, development times and delivery times.
- While your inbox is your natural habitat, you excel at interfacing with human beings in real-time: you know how to motivate people to get things done, wherever they are in the world.
- Experience with Agile program management using the JIRA board is a must
- Lead diverse teams in dynamic and fast-paced environments in a globally distributed model, with resources representing multiple disciplines (such as marketing services, technology, creative, production)
- You are a self-starter, a project leader, ready to jump head first into projects, pulling the team together to create pure digital awesomeness.
Qualifications Experience WishList (anything below are nice to have)
- SCRUM Master or Kanban certification.
- Any other certifications that demonstrates your broader understanding of what it takes to manage projects (for example: Lean, Six Sigma, PRINCE2, ITIL, etc.)
