Associate Planning Director     

TBWA Shanghai is hiring an Associate Planning Director to lead strategy on a small portfolio of significant accounts. The candidate will be applying for a position at the Disruption® Company, where we have some of the coolest millennial brands (e.g. BMW, adidas, and Uniqlo), a rebellious spirit, a playful bond with culture, and a mandate to disrupt all the conventions that keep brands down.



The candidate:

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree

- At least 6 years agency working experience

- Auto clients served experience is a MUST

- Workable English communication skill

- An insight miner, problem solver, and storyteller

- A critical, collaborative, and creative thinker

- A well-read, well-travelled, and well-lived individual

You will need to be able to:

Roll up your sleeves and do the work, not just delegate it
Present clearly, concisely, and convincingly to C-Suite
Craft inspiring briefs, persuasive presentations, case studies, and research proposals
Debate constructively and respectfully with clients and colleagues
Design and facilitate client ideation workshops
Lead multi-agency integration
Author thought leadership pieces
Construct consumer personas, journeys
Contribute to new business pitches
Employ quantitative, qualitative, primary and secondary research
Coach and develop junior staff within and across disciplines
Develop data-driven, actionable, and integrated channel plans
Inspire, sharpen, and represent creative ideas and executions
Understand the anatomy, nature and character of brands and brand portfolios
Monitor, interpret, and leverage cultural trends to amplify brands and products
Improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the planning discipline
