Job Description
Karla Otto is looking for a skilled, inquisitive and highly organized planning talent to join our
international team. Strong planning skills and interest in public relations/advertising, social
media, events management and fashion marketing are essential to succeed in this role.
Planner plays an important supporting role in the BD & Strategy team. You will be able to learn
about the luxury fashion and lifestyle industry. You will have the opportunity to work on
exciting global projects with a dynamic team and enhance your career skills.
Responsibilities
• New Business Pitch Support: support Strategy Manager to devise strategic frameworks to
address marketing and communications issues and opportunities
• Market Research: effectively distill information down to key insights and integrate them
into the communications and creative strategy development process
• Internal Cross-function: maintain a regular, productive relationship with the Account and
Creative team
• Client-facing Presentation: articulate a strategy in a confident and persuasive manner to
internal teams and clients
• Corporate Communications: build and amplify the Agency’s XHS presence with alwayson work posting as well as ad-hoc special content angles

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing communication or relevant field
• 2+ years' planning or account experience in PR and/or advertising industry
• An analytical mind and a creative eye
• Attention to detail
• Understanding of advertising and media – knowledge of brands, advertising principles
(brand positioning, insights, and ideas), and the Chinese media landscape
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English, a second
foreign language is a plus
• Experience in primary and secondary research, and data analysis
• Understanding of business – knowledge of organizations, economics, and finance
• Understanding of technology – avid user of social media and AIGC tools
